In My Mailbox #59

In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren.

Apologies for the lack of crappy phone picture this week but I am shattered! I even decided to post a little early because why not?

But as you may be able to tell, I’ve been having a little revamp around here. There won’t be any drastic changes but you will notice the odd thing here and there, and there is more to come when I find the time. If you haven’t met Naithin yet, do go and say hello. I’m looking forward to his future posts and having a little more of an epic fantasy vibe around the blog (which was actually my original intention). Honest, he doesn’t bite. Hope you like the changes.

The first was gifted to me from Ellie, whom I lub a little bit. She even has blogger business cards. And post-it notes! How cool. Legend was sent over from Razorbill after I won Bella‘s giveaway. Both are huge huzzahs!

This was a freebie from Seventh Star Press. Watch my Twitter account during the week because they will be putting up another of their books for free on Amazon next week and I will be sharing.

  1. This cover of Legend looks gorgeous. Everybody seems to have read this book already. I have to find some time and look into it too.

    My IMM post

  2. Legend looks awesome. I have to admit I love the idea of cute business cards and bookmarks…. the cost factor though turns me off haha!

  3. Great set! Yay for Sophie Kinsella. I’ve always meant to read her books.

  4. I hope you enjoy everything you got this week. Here’s my IMM!

  5. *bows* I’m sure my business cards are in bins all over the world by now ;) I’d like to get some boomarks made up but they seem stupidly expensive compared to business cards. Doesn’t make sense, they’re just longer bits of card!

  6. Poseidon’s Children looks good. I still need to read Legend.Great IMM

  7. That cover for the Sophie Kinsella is adorable! Same for Legend — wow, I’m so jealous of your UK covers, haha. Happy reading! :D

    Here’s my IMM :)

  8. Great mailbox! I won Legend in a giveaway and finally got it in the mail this week – I can’t wait to read it!! Enjoy all your books!

    My IMM

  9. I haven’t read any of these books but jeard so many great things about legend. I didn’t know this cover but I love this one. Enjoy them all!

    My IMM

  10. Ooh, you got the new Sophie Kinsella! I keep fondling it lovingly in ASDA, but convincing myself not to buy it because I know it’ll be in charity shops everywhere in a couple of weeks. Until then, I think I have… four? other of her books to read. Oopsy.

Let me know how it is :)

    • That is true! I have a couple on my shelf and still need to get hold of Shopaholic, I did read one when I was 15 actually but need to reread that one, cannot remember it at all. Still, shall be reading this one of hers first!

  11. Ooo I downloaded ‘Poseidon’s Children’ a few days ago. It sounded good. :)

  12. Yay Poseidon’s Children. Michael did great last week.

  13. Great books! Both are on my list to read SOON! I love Sophie Kinsella and have heard wonderful things about this book … And Marie Lu’s is due back at the library on Wednesday, so I’m planning to read that one next!

    Happy reading!

  14. I didn’t have anything to add this week, as… Uhm. I.. uh.. may have gone through a wee bit of a purchasing binge after I got my kindle to such a degree that I still haven’t caught up yet. *cough*

That doesn’t mean I’ve stopped buying things altogether though! I keep finding new series that I simply must have right now. It just means I shouldn’t buy anything new.

This week I was good! Who can say about next. :P (I still need to buy the remainder of the Malazan series, for one.)

    • Let me know as early as possible if you can! Incase I have to schedule the post. Sometimes I have to schedule for Sunday early on a Saturday before a night shift. Rawr

    • Oh man, I find new series that I NEED RIGHT NOW all the time… I’m kind of glad that I have a tiny bit of self control though because that kind of gets expensive!

      • I have fairly good self control when it comes to most new series… Sometimes… *cough* …I guess I did buy into the Malazan series rather recently.

The real problem upon reflection are new entries into existing series, but I think that’s much more acceptable, right? Right? I think so anyway. :P
